MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

About the Role: We are seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Business Development Sales Consultant to spearhead the adoption of Sprout Keeper within the professional services sector. You will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle, from proactively identifying and qualifying target firms to presenting the compelling value proposition of our practice management solution and successfully closing deals.

This role requires a strong understanding of the challenges faced by professional services firms, exceptional communication and presentation skills tailored for executive-level audiences, and a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit. You will play a crucial role in our growth by expanding our customer base and contributing to our overall revenue targets.

Sprout Keeper is a comprehensive time and billing solution meticulously designed to empower professional services firms – including law, accounting, consulting, and architectural firms – to gain complete control over their time tracking, billing processes, and overall finances. Our platform streamlines operations, improves efficiency, and provides valuable insights for better decision-making and increased profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively identify and prospect potential clients within law, accounting, consulting, and architectural firms (specifically targeting Managing Partners and CFOs) through outbound methods, networking, and leveraging industry insights.
  • Work closely with the Lead Development Unit (LDU) Specialist to identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the specific needs, pain points, and business objectives of Managing Partners and CFOs in professional services firms.
  • Deliver tailored presentations that clearly articulate how Sprout Keeper addresses unique challenges and delivers significant ROI.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, building trust and positioning yourself as a knowledgeable advisor.
  • Take ownership of the entire sales process, from initial outreach and qualification to conducting engaging product demos, overcoming objections, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
  • Execute the sales plan for Sprout Keeper, actively engaging with leads generated by the Lead Development Unit, conducting targeted demos, and diligently moving prospects through the sales pipeline to achieve defined revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Development Unit Specialist to optimize lead quality and conversion strategies.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the General Manager, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and market feedback.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress within our CRM system.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, challenges, and the competitive landscape within the professional services and practice management software industries.
  • Provide valuable insights and feedback to the General Manager to refine sales strategies, target customer profiles, and product messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, ideally selling software or high-value services to professional services firms (law, accounting, consulting, architecture).
  • Experience selling to C-level executives (Managing Partners, CFOs) with a strong understanding of their business priorities.
  • Strong grasp of value-based selling and the ability to articulate the ROI of a complex solution to a sophisticated audience.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills tailored for executive-level engagement.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive, with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude and a demonstrated ability to drive sales results independently.
  • Comfortable working in a startup-like environment, proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities.
  • Experience in a consulting capacity, demonstrating a track record of analyzing business challenges and recommending effective solutions. Experience within professional services industries (law, accounting, consulting, or architecture) is a distinct advantage. 
  • A strong understanding of operational pain points within businesses/ firms and a genuine enthusiasm for helping businesses streamline processes and achieve growth are critical
Experience using CRM systems for sales management and reporting.
